What do your condition grades mean?

Every used book in our catalogue is graded so you know exactly what to expect when it arrives.

  • Like New — Virtually indistinguishable from a brand-new copy. No marks, creases, or signs of reading.
  • Very Good — Light signs of previous ownership (e.g. minor shelf wear) but no writing, highlighting, or damage. A great read in excellent shape.
  • Good — Clearly read but fully intact. May show wear to the spine or cover; pages are clean and complete.
  • Visible Damage — Functional but noticeably worn. Could include creased covers, minor tears, or light annotations. 

Can I return a used book?

Because every used book is one-of-a-kind, we assess returns on a case-by-case basis. If your book arrives in a condition significantly different from its listed grade, please contact us within 10 days of delivery and we'll make it right. Items returned must be in the same condition as received. See our full Return & Refund Policy for details.

However - we know you all have excellent taste in books, so if you've already read it, let us know via email (unboundxunhinged@gmail.com) within 3 days of receiving your package and we'll swap it for you, no questions asked. 

How does the Unhinged Book Club subscription work?

Curation — Each month our team selects a title (or titles, depending on your tier) based on your genre preferences. 

Billing — Your subscription renews automatically on the same date each month. You'll be charged in GBP to the payment method on file.

Skipping a month — Need to pause? You can skip any upcoming month from your account dashboard at least 5 days before your next billing date. Log in, go to Manage Subscription, and select Skip this month.

Cancelling — You can cancel at any time from your account dashboard. Cancellations take effect at the end of your current billing period — you won't be charged again after that.

How long does delivery take?

We dispatch orders within 1–2 business days. Once shipped:

  • UK Standard — 2–4 business days
  • UK Express — 1–2 business days
  • International — 7–14 business days (varies by destination)

You'll receive a dispatch confirmation email with tracking information as soon as your order is on its way.
